Life’s Work

Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven’t found it yet, keep looking. Don’t settle. As with all matters of the heart, you’ll know when you find it. -Steve Jobs tweet

Your Choice of Life’s Work

What do you spend most of your waking hours doing? Whether you choose a career, to be a volunteer, be an entrepreneur or to be a stay-at-home parent as your primary focus – that is your life’s work.  At least for the present moment. It often changes with different seasons of life. But regardless of what season your in, it’s important that you find it is fulfilling, productive, allows some level of creativity and serves a purpose.

As the Steve Jobs quotes points out, it flows from the heart. And when our life’s work flows from the heart it is something that we believe in, something that we believe in so strongly that we give it our best effort.  The choice to believe is just that – a choice. Whether you are sweeping streets, changing diapers, striking deals on Wall Street or a small business owner you choose each and every day how much you believe in it. That belief translates into the love and effort you put in and the level of excellence that shows in the results.
